Gutach - From tower to tower

At the hiking parking lot in Gutach Turm, we orient ourselves - still without the Schwarzwaldverein's diamond trail marking - towards the Black Forest Railway/railroad crossing. There, the first signpost "Peterbauernhof 255 m" shows the way using yellow diamond marking - towards "Saumerloch 410 m". After a slight ascent, we reach this point and then face a nearly 400 m steep climb. Afterwards, the trail leads in a gentle curve to the left and comfortably downhill again. At the position "Spitzberg 400 m", we orient ourselves again to the left and follow the direction "Übem Fuggishof 450 m". On the way there, the first views open up of the Breitenbach valley and down to Hausach. After slight ups and downs, we stand "überm Fuggishof" and now turn onto the "Westweg" - red diamond - heading towards "Schmids Wanderecke 350 m". There we switch to the lovingly designed "Abenteuerpfad Hausach" to reach our destination - the "Burg Husen" - after a short distance and a short steep descent. This castle, first built in the 13th century, rises above the small town and can be visited during the summer months. The view over the entire Middle Kinzig valley is magnificent. Hausach, the "town under the castle", is also known for the Black Forest Railway. The return route leads first along the valley floor initially on a yellow diamond and then on the "Hansjakobweg" sign to the "Herz-Jesu-Bild 255 m" and to the "Parkplatz Tannenwald 250 m", past the sports stadium back to Gutach-Turm. At the signpost "Gutach-Turm Hirschgasse 248 m", we continue following the Hansjakobweg sign to "Gutach-Turm Gasthaus Hirsch 248 m" in the direction of "Am Schänzle". However, we leave the Hansjakobweg at Gasthaus Sonne and keep right on the unmarked street to reach the hiking parking lot after about 200 m.

An absolutely worth seeing and experiencing is a short detour over the federal road - traffic light crossing - to the Schänzle at the tower. The Hansjakobweg leads in windings to the beautifully located place with a shelter and offers a wonderful view of Gutach-Turm up to the Hausach ruins.

An absolutely worth seeing and experiencing detour from Gasthof Sonne is a short detour over the federal road (traffic light crossing) to the Schänzle at the tower. The Hansjakobweg leads with few bends to the beautifully located spot with barbecue facilities and shelter. The view extends up to Burg Husen.
