Small Edelsberg round - to Kappeler Alp and Hündeleskopfhütte

From the parking lot at the town entrance to Pfronten-Kappel, the path initially goes through the grounds of the Höllschlucht forest ropes course. Then the path leads you into the Höllschlucht. In the gorge, the hiking trail passes waterfalls on to the "Devil's Kitchen." After about 400 meters of elevation gain, you leave the mountain forest and enter the alpine pastures of the Kappeler Alp. Now the path runs a short stretch over a wooden boardwalk (this spot can be somewhat muddy after heavy rain – sturdy footwear is recommended). Then it is only a few meters to the popular Kappeler Alp for a rest. Next, you follow the switchbacks of the forest road to the Hündeleskopfhütte. After the stop at the vegetarian mountain hut, it continues down into the valley on a narrow forest path. After leaving the forest, turn left and follow the path back to the starting point at Pfronten-Kappel.
