Wine region route

The starting point of the route is the nature park information office in the center of Rechnitz. It goes via the main square to the vinotheque Reichermühle in the idyllic Faludi valley. Here begins the wine educational trail, which, using display panels, shows the yearly cycle in the vineyard and the different grape varieties of the region. It continues past vineyards to the first Burgenland hunting educational trail where native animal species, shrubs, and trees are described in German and Hungarian. Various objects such as hunting stands, feeding troughs, etc. illustrate the hunter's responsibilities. The route then leads through the wine region through narrow cellar lanes past old cellar buildings and wells. You will surely find an open cellar or a Buschenschank inviting you to stop. Here you can enjoy delicious wine and a hearty Buschenschank snack with regional specialties. On this route, you will get to know the culture, mentality, and specialties of the people and region.
