You start at the Burgenland State House at Europaplatz and go east along Ing. Hans Sylvester Street. A little past the barracks gate, turn left into Buchgrabenweg. At the end of the path, just before the ORF regional studio, turn left and follow the red marking. Then continue past a meadow on the right to a small bridge, which you cross to the forest edge. At the fork in the path, keep left and after about 300 m leave the hollow path (steeply up on the left) until after about 500 m you reach the Johannesgrotto natural cave via a forest path. To get to the Kürschnergrube, take the same route as to Johannesgrotto until the fork at the forest edge, which leads left to Johannesgrotto. Here, follow the blue-marked hiking trail straight ahead, which partly ascends quite steeply, to Kürschnergrube. The long-distance trail 02 runs directly north of Kürschnergrube.
