The three towns of Dorfgastein, Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein in the Salzburg region offer invigorating leisure activities and relaxing health treatments.

Gastein's wealth is particularly evident in its unique natural treasures – the impressive mountain landscape of the Hohe Tauern, the world-famous thermal springs and the many diverse side valleys that are always inviting to explore.

When temperatures rise, the snow melts, revealing the imposing mountain world of the Hohe Tauern and the highest grass mountains in Europe.

Four modern cable cars take guests up to the adventure mountains even in summer, which offer, among other things, the highest suspension bridge in Europe, via ferrata adventures and a Swiss stone pine theme trail.

The region has a total of 600 kilometres of hiking trails, including the Gastein Trail long-distance hiking trail, which allows visitors to explore the entire Gastein Valley. And there is a lot to explore – not only over 60 mountain huts serving culinary delicacies, but also two thermal spas and a wealth of cultural diversity in three different locations.
