A route on the nearby waters of Lahti. From the lake, you can clearly see Lahti landmarks such as the ski jumps and radio masts. The backdrop of the lake is the forested Salpausselkä ridges. The route also includes open lake waters, so take wind conditions into account. Take a break and spend a summer day: Enonsaari has a beach and a summer café as well as a grill shelter and lean-to shelter. You can also rest at the lean-to shelter on Selkäsaaari.
The route is not marked on the water but is a suggested example route.

In strong winds or during cold water conditions, stay close to the shorelines. From Selkäsaaari you can return near Mukkulanranta on the same route without going out into the large lake open waters.
Beware of boat and ship traffic! Especially the boat traffic on the fairway in front of Kahvisaari is sometimes very busy.
There is parking available at Niemi harbor (Kipparinkuja, Lahti). Parking is not allowed on the breakwater road leading to Kahvisaari.

The areas near beaches are suitable for SUP. Boards are also available for rent from local businesses.
The route is also well suited for church boats except for some parts. The duration of the route by church boat is a little over an hour.
Along with the natural scenery, you will also see cultural history such as Mukkula Manor and the old villas of Enonsaari.
Rest stops include a lean-to shelter on Selkäsaaari and a summer café, grill shelter, and swimming area on Enonsaari.
You can rent paddling equipment from Kahvisaari.
In good weather, nearby beaches like Mukkula beach and the Event Park shores are also suitable for stand-up paddleboarding (SUP).
Parking space on Kahvisaari is very limited, and parking on the breakwater is prohibited, so leave your car on the Niemi marina side before the breakwater.
