Not only on foot are you out and about in Bad Berka - you can also explore the picturesque landscape around the spa town of Bad Berka by bike. With the reopening of the Tourist Information, various cycling routes have been created that lead from Bad Berka in all directions of the compass to different neighboring villages. Thus, short, medium, and long distances can be covered on excellently developed bike paths.
The route begins at the Tourist Information Bad Berka and leads a short section through the spa park before you turn right onto Turmweg and ride up to the end of the incline. Then the path leads right to Saalborn and continues to Reisberg. From there, follow the signs to Carolinenturm until you finally reach it. After enjoying the view, you ride down to the forest inn Müllershausen. The next destination is Blankenhain. You reach the town after a relaxing descent past the Bombenberghütte. Once in Blankenhain, the path leads to the GolfResort Weimarer Land before you cycle back to Bad Berka via Saalborn.
From the direction of Weimar or Rudolstadt (B 85), turn right or left at the Ilmenau junction into the city center and follow the signs to the parking lot.
From the direction of Ilmenau, drive straight ahead at the junction to Weimar/Rudolstadt into the city center and follow the signs to the parking lot.
Arrival by bus and train possible. Starting point is accessible on foot.
City center parking (well signposted on local signs); free parking as well as caravan parking space; about 400 m walk from there to the Tourist Information.
