Valais Panorama Bike 4. Binn - Brig

Starting from Binn, follow the main road towards the valley. At the dam lake, turn left and follow the Leng valley road up to Heiligkreuz. Below the cable car, turn right to start a climb of 14 kilometers and 1100 meters of elevation gain. Leave the alpine road at Brunegge and ascend the valley via a singletrail to Tanzbede, whose last section to the pass is a bit steeper. After the Saflisch pass, the path winds up to the height of the Fleschbode dam lake. A narrow road then leads you to Rosswald, where you turn onto a forest road towards Schmidmatte. A singletrail leads you to point 1483 near Undri Eisten, then you reach Schallberg via a forest road. A winding singletrail forks right, then a secondary road leads to the start of the last section of singletrail. At the entrance to Riederwald, take a bisse path to the lower station of Rosswald. Finally, at point 1067, take the secondary road via Bleike, Brei, and Lingwurm to the town of Brig.

The rules of good conduct

From Zurich: take the A4 or A3 motorway to Flüelen, then A2 to Göschenen; use the Furka base tunnel and continue towards Niederernen, Binn.

From Bern: take the A6 motorway to Spiez and continue towards Kandersteg; use the Kandersteg-Goppenstein car shuttle and continue towards Niederernen, Binn.

From Geneva: take the A1 motorway to Lausanne, then continue on the A9 towards Brig, continue towards Niederernen, Binn.

From Milan: take the A8/A26 motorway towards Simplon; use the Iselle-Brig car shuttle and continue towards Niederernen, Binn.

Reach Brig by train (SBB), then take the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn regional train to Lax. Then take the post bus to reach Binn. Remember to reserve a place for your mountain bike on sbb.ch.
