The picturesque Dordogne

At the exit of the village of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, on your left is the St Prime-St Félicien fountain, the two patron saints of the town, and a little further on your right (500m), at the Europe square, the view is magnificent over the Dordogne and the Chapelle des Pénitents.
You take the road to Brivezac and after about 1 km, you stop at the Battut dam to observe the river's whirlpools and the perilous passage of canoes. A little further on, the Chauvac castle stands out on the right on the hillside.
In Brivezac, in front of the church (11th-century portal, the oldest in Limousin...), a small street leads to the Pavilion of Jeanne d’Albret (16th century).
The road then calmly continues along the Dordogne to Argentat for about 20 km. 
After visiting Argentat, you cross the Dordogne towards the hamlet of L'Hôpital and follow the river's meanders to return to your starting point Beaulieu.
