THE THREE BALLS

Park in the parking lot of the Barreau space hall. Looking towards the church, take the track that goes to the left. Ford passage at 150m (it may be flooded after rainy periods)

At 700m from the start, leave the track and climb on the right along the path, between scrubland and chestnut groves.

At the junction of several tracks, take the one going straight, heading North/North-East. Further on, cross a large meadow by turning left to reach a wide forest track. Continue on the one going right.

At the crossroads, take right the “Three Balls forest track”. Some openings between the trees allow glimpses of the Somail and Espinouse massif. Continue for 1.3 km

After the cistern, take the path climbing to the left (pass through a “gate”). At the high point, enjoy the view of Caroux, Pardailhan... Another viewpoint is visible at “Serre grande”, requiring a short round trip for the braver!

Join the Passa Meridia (route crossing the entire Hérault Department) and follow it for 1.5 km to the Lalo pass.

At the pass, leave the track going right and take a few meters further a path descending along a stream. Follow the marking carefully until joining again a track. Follow this track left to reach the starting point. Ford passage just before returning to the parking (it can be flooded after rainy periods)
